And then there were 4!

In case you missed my big announcement on Facebook, we are expecting baby #2 at the end of October!! We are overjoyed.  We decided last October that we were ready to have another baby but never really "tried" until January.  Well, I guess when we have a job to do, we get it done! hehehe.

Collin will be almost 2 by the time baby #2 arrives.  My last couple encounters with babies left me feeling really good about how Collin will react.  A few months ago, he would throw a FIT if I even looked at another baby.  But just last weekend, he simply came and laid his head down beside me and the baby I was holding.  And when she fell asleep, he shushed us! I think he'll be a good big brother! (I'm sure there will be jealousy, but we will do our best to include him in all that we can).

Our first doctor appointment was last Friday.  Baby's heartbeat was a strong 160.  The doctor had no problems locating the heartbeat.  What was cool was Collin was crying through the whole appointment until the heartbeat played.  Then he was just silent.  My doctor said "there's your competition, buddy!"  Another cool thing my doctor said was that if we didn't mind, we should bring Collin to all our doctor appointments.  I looked at her like she was crazy.  Did she not hear this screaming, crying kid beside me?  She must have seen my face and said "we don't care if they cry!"  She said that she recommended it because it will help to make him less anxious about being in a doctor's office.  Since every time he comes with us, nothing is happening to him, it will make the doctor's office less scary.  So, that's our plan!

Also, we waited to share our news for a few reasons.  1--we know too many people who have miscarried in their first trimester and that is not a pain we would want to share with everyone (at least not immediately).  2--we wanted my brother and sister-in-law to be in the spotlight for as long as possible with the arrival of Amaziah! Who, by the way, is one of the cutest little kids in the whole entire world. 

We had fun telling everyone! Collin had his "I'm going to be a big brother" shirt on and we just waited for people to notice! It was great!

So far, this pregnancy is quite different from my first.  I haven't had any sickness.  I've had a bit of nausea but I gladly take generic Zofran to rid myself of it! I've been SUPER tired--but I imagine that is due, in part, to the energetic little toddler I chase around day-to-day.  My cravings are very similar: cheeseburgers, fruit roll ups, fruit by the foots, gushers, airheads...I know..so healthy! Don't worry, I only indulge here and there :)

I LOVE Cleaning My Floors!! {HAAN Floor Sanitizer Review sponsored by CSN Stores}

I never thought I would say these words:  I LOVE cleaning my floors.  I swear.  When Collin drops food on the floor...I get excited! When there's a spill...I'm giddy! When Collin's fruit snacks are smashed and sticking on the hard wood floors...I'm up for the challenge! And let me tell you why it was the best purchase I ever made.


The Haan Floor Sanitizer requires one ingredient to clean--WATER.  Yep, that's it! No chemicals, no special formulas...just plain 'ole tap water! Within a couple minutes, the water heats up to a steamy 212 degrees and you are ready to clean and sanitize your sealed, hard surface floors.  Since it does heat up to such a high degree, I make sure to clean my floors when Collin is napping or not in the room.  Just to be safe. 


The first time I used my Haan, I had high expectations.  There was food stuck to the floor that I had tried to scrub off multiple times.  You know what I'm talking about..the food that you didn't see was on the floor until it had become a permanent fixture there...Well, I made several passes with my Haan Floor Sanitizer and it loosened and picked up the mess in no time! Foot prints, toy marks...they were lifted in an instant.  To say that this cleaner met my high expectations is an understatement--it exceeded them! My floors have never been so shiny!! Seriously, I could see the reflection of my dining room table in my floors...beautiful!


Another aspect that I love about this cleaner is the adjustable handle.  You can adjust it to fit your height perfectly--so no stooping over and ending up with a sore back.  


It comes with a cup you can use to fill up the water compartment.  So you don't have to guess how much water you need. Also, you get several packets to help clean the compartment and keep it free from mineral deposits! You only have to use them once every 2-3 months. 


It is lightweight! It weighs less than 4 pounds--which this mama loves! In fact, the other day Collin snuck into the laundry room and came out CARRYING the Haan! YIKES! So, my 16 month old could lift it. 

It comes with two REUSABLE super absorbent microfiber pads.  I LOVE that I don't have to throw them away--I just throw them in the washer.  And let me tell you, they pick up a lot! We haven't mopped our mudroom since we built our house...and let me just say...I was embarrassed by the amount of dirt that was on that pad when I was done.  But boy was my floor clean!  

Also, it doesn't leave water spots or streaks! Trust me..I checked! You just see sparkling floors! 


Finally, it runs for 20 minutes worth of cleaning! While this wasn't enough time the first time I cleaned the floors (I had to refill and finish), now that I am just maintaining the clean floors, I can finish in 20 minutes, no problem! 
 


Now, there are a few things I wish were different:


1.  I wish the cord was retractable.  I just hate having to wrap it around.  I know, I know...minor! 


2.  I wish the cord was longer.  If you have a large area to clean, you'll have to unplug it a couple times to get the job done. 

But that's it! I 100% recommend this floor cleaner for anyone who has a lot of sealed, hard surfaces to clean.  You will be shocked at how easy your floors get clean--and with just water!! A task I once dreaded has become a task I actually look forward to with excitement! Trust me, you'll love your Haan too!
